Getúlio Fernandes de Azevedo, better known as Careca Lindo (Beautiful Baldy), says he lost his hair while working as a school bus driver. To escape the stress of that job, he decided to rent a nearly bankrupt spot, and start working with snacks. With only two employees, he continued like that for two years until the business started to become successful. Today, 10 years later, he employs 45 people! His flagship product is his juices, with various flavors, which he announces through a microphone, loudly promoting the delights he sells. The variety of savory snacks is also not small,eranging from the more traditional ones like chicken, beef, cheese, and ham to the more daring ones like regional fish, jerked beef, and stingray. And when também. the IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources) approves, he will also have turtle and alligator pastries. His refrain, which he repeats endlessly, is famous in the area: “Come and regain your beauty at no Lanche do Careca Lindo”.
