Seven years ago, Cidinha started selling 4 guava-filled “bolo de rolo” cakes per week. Over time, she gained fame, and now, in addition to her, her sister and two employees are part of the production. She sells the cakes at her home, on the streets of Carpina, at some public offices, bakeries, and grocery stores in Recife, and also takes orders. She offers a wide variety of flavors, from the traditional guava to elaborate flavors like “queijo do reino” (a type of cheese), walnut, “queijadinha” (a cheese-based dessert), cappuccino, banana, among others, including diet options such as guava, plum, and banana.
